Following the suspension of the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES) Programme on 13 January 2022, the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) wishes to inform all subsistence farmers that PES suspension is herewith lifted with immediate effect.
The Department imposed the suspension on the PES Programme to resolve on the farmers’ grave concerns over steep costs they incurred while redeeming vouchers for agricultural inputs.
The Department (DALRRD) said in a statement it would like to encourage all affected beneficiaries to await update messages from Vodacom and thereafter they can visit the allocated suppliers in order to redeem vouchers issued to them.
The Department will communicate with all PES voucher recipients on how the PES implementation will unfold going forward. Beneficiaries are further urged to be on the look-out for messages from the department in this regard.
