PSJ Group (Pty) Ltd and Sakata Seeds Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd host a Farmer’s Day For Emerging Farmers and Extension Officers

PSJ Group (Pty) Ltd in conjunction with Sakata Seeds Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd hosted a farmer’s day for emerging farmers and government extension officers.

Sakata Seeds Southern Africa is a Japanese global seed company founded in 1913 and operational in over 170 countries.

PSJ Group (Pty) Ltd is an Agricultural Holdings company lead by Paul Ntshabele and the company is a local partner to Sakata Seeds Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd.

The farmer’s day was graced by the Japanese embassy. 

The overall goal was to introduce emerging farmers and government extension officers to new better hybrid seeds that have higher yields, adaptability, stress tolerance , better quality, plant vigour and disease resistance.

The event was attended by various farmers, NGOs and Co-Operatives around the country, extension officers, agricultural officers and plant specialists from the Department of Agriculture – Land Reform and Rural Development, North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Limpopo Department Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Social Development: Household Food and Nutrition Security, NWK LTD, Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD), Earn International Agripreneurs, Department of Correctional Services: Production Workshop and Agriculture, City of Johannesburg: Social Development, Bayer, Omnia, Made With Rural, Eastern Cape Rural Development Agency, RSA Group, The African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA), Dischem Foundation and many others.
